Archbishop Farrell has requested that a summer dues collection also takes place this year. The summer dues collection goes towards the income of priests in the parishes of the Archdiocese of Dublin. We are very grateful to all who contribute to the collection.
BAPTISM TEAM APPEAL
We are urgrntly seeking new people to join our parish Baptism Team in both St Anne's Church and Church of St Matin De Porres areas. If this is something you might be interested in, please leave you contact details to the parish offices and a member of the baptism team will contact you with further information.
Eucharistic Ministry
Is the Lord calling you to be a Eucharistic Minister? Eucharistic ministers are lay people who have been commissioned by the Church to help with the distribution of Holy Communion at Masses and to bring Holy Communion to the sick, infirm and housebound who can no longer come to Mass. Before being commissioned the Ministers are invited to take part in a preparation process outlining the great importance of the Eucharist and also the practicalities involved in the distribution. If you would like to get involved in this Ministry please give your name to one of the priests or leave it with the sacristan or parish secretary.

About Our parish
The Parish of St. Martin de Porres, Old Bawn, stretches southwards from the Square Shopping Centre to the foot of the Dublin mountains. The Parish encompasses well established estates such as St. Maelruan’s Park, Watergate, Old Bawn, Aylesbury and in more recent years Ellensborough and Marlfield caring pastorally for well over 3,000 homes. The church, as far as we know is the only parish church in Ireland dedicated to St. Martin De Porres, was officially opened and blessed by Archbishop Dermot Ryan on 12th December 1976. St. Martin’s is a mature parish with a high degree of lay participation. The Parish Team consists of Rev Fr. James Daly P.P; Very Rev Fr Michael Hurley, P.C.; Rev Fr. Hilary Etomike, C.C.; Rev Fr Hector Mwale, P.C; Rev Padraic O'Sullivan - Deacon.
